My name is Samantha Markovitz (you can call me Sam) and I am a second year graduate student here at Denver University's School of Social Work. As a CCESL Fellow, I will be working with Yolanda Anyon and faculty to increase Youth Voice into programming/curriculum here at DU and in community organizations. I have worked with 3 youth development non-profits since graduating undergrad in 2012 from St. Lawrence University, from Boston to Boulder. Currently, I am interning at Mile High Connects, a broad partnership of public, private, and non-profits who are all dedicated to making sure that housing, transportation, schools, and healthcare are equitable to all. I also volunteer at SOS Outreach, a youth development organization here in Denver. While this keeps me SUPER busy, I enjoy hanging out with friends and family, relaxing, spending time outdoors, traveling, and catching the occasional happy hour.
